Legendary reggae artist, Bob Marley was honored February 6, 2001 with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ceremonies took place on the southeast corner of Hollywood and La Brea at 11:30 am. The star rests by other artists such as Carlos Santana, Rita Morena, Kiss, and Don Johnson. Fans and tourists visited the star throughout the afternoon taking pictures of it while others played congas on the sidewalk. This all took place on a picturesque day in Southern California. There is currently an exhibit running featuring the life of Bob Marley. It is at the Queen Mary in Long Beach and admission is ten dollars.
